The Snowbee 3 in 1 Trout Net comes complete with two telescopic aluminium handles.

  • The shorter model is only 12″ (30cm) when closed, providing an ideal river ‘scoop’ net, particularly for competition fishing. This telescopes out to 18″ (46cm) for additional reach and fits neatly within international competition rules for overall length.
  • The second telescopic handle extends from a closed length of 25″ (64cm) to a fully extended length of 45″ (115cm), providing an ideal river bank or small Stillwater net.

Both handles are fitted with high-density foam grips. This versatile net really is a 3-in-1 for the river or bank angler.

The D-section aluminium frame is ultra lightweight, yet offers amazing strength and rigidity. Attached to this is Snowbee’s new hexagonal Rubber-Mesh knotless net, which has a flat bottom panel for the fish to lie in – ideal for catch & release, as this design minimises scale damage.

Protect your Rods

This follows on from the previous blog, having spent a lot of money on travelling to a destination to fish, be it Scotland ( if you’re Scottish read Devon ) or some far-flung exotic venue ( not that Scotland or Devon aren’t exotic in their own way ) you need to protect
your rods from air travel. Just relying on your rod tubes will not cut it. I have lost two rods this way! Still you live and learn.

Polarized Sunglasses

Polarized lenses enhance visibility and reduce glare in all conditions and are must for any fishing trip, they reduce eye strain (I learnt this one the hard way from when I used to spend hours sitting in a boat in the sunshine). Stream side losses

Streamworks ForcepsIt happens about once every other season, there I am on the river/stream catching fish, release one with my forceps, clip them back onto my jacket/vest and move on upstream. Having traveled a fair distance to the next rising fish, the river having changed over the winter, pools blown out, weed beds gone, I hook another fish, after a good tussle it’s in the net – reach for the forceps and they are not there! I like to unhook my fish without touching them, usually in the river or as in this case a 18″ feisty Brown in the net. Still using barbless hooks it’s not too difficult. Now I know I clipped my forceps to my vest securely, past experience has made me wary, but they still disappear, went back downstream no sign of them, sometimes I think there must be a forceps fairy! The biggest problem is which ones to choose when I go into the shop tomorrow – there is so many!
